Magic is one of the core tenets of Fallout: Equestria, with most, if not all, of the species using it in one way or another to survive. In our game, you will be able to learn a multitude of unique spells, each with their own unique upgrades and play styles. While there are limitations and restraints in the magic system, it will allow you to be to become a powerful unicorn, if you so choose.
Another Design post, this time we are going to be sharing some of the foundations of the game; Skills and Attributes!
Most of you who have played Fallout know a fair bit about the attributes, skills, and levels that form the basic systems of the game. In our case we have adapted and modified the systems found in Fallout 3 and New Vegas to help improve gameplay.
So if you have seen our demo video we released about 2 months ago you may have seen that our UI for the pipbuck and HUD is a little different than what you’ve seen in Fallout 3 and New Vegas. This is to primarily to give a unique experience while exploring the Fallout Equestria universe, but also to give our game its own unique style.

When the team first sat down to start designing a base design for mouth-held firearms we immediately knew we had a difficult task ahead. How firearms work in the MLP universe has always been up for debate among fans, and there have been some very interesting ideas thrown around. However, turning a gun onto its side, gangster style, and shoving it into a ponies mouth wouldn’t exactly work.
