It took us way longer than it should have, but the Overmare Studios’ quest writing contest results are finally in! Now it’s time to see the result of everyone’s hard work!

We received a grand total 42 submission from nearly as many writers. That’s absolutely crazy amount, and we never expected so many of them! It took a little bit of time, but we have finally selected the top 5.

Before we get to the results, we would like to thank everyone who participated in the contest for their hard work! Not only did the amount of submissions surprise us, but we were absolutely amazed by the quality of some of the submissions. The top 5 was essentially within just a couple points with our rating process, and up until the last moments it was still anyone’s game. We highly recommend you take the time to read all of the submissions, they are worth it!

And next, the moment you have been waiting for.

Starting from the fifth place, here are the top five of the first ever quest contest by The Overmare Studios!

James Seare

And finally, the one who emerged as number one, the winner is...

Colin Wolfe

Congratulations Colin! And of course, congratulations to everyone in the top 5, and once again a big thank you to all of the participants! We hope to see more from all of you in the future as well.

While we have linked only the submissions of the top 5 entries in this post, we encourage the rest of the contenders to link theirs on our forums, if they wish to share it with the community!

You can link your entries and discuss them or the winners here:

As always, we always want to hear your, our fans’, opinions and suggestions. And as such, we would like to repeat the questions we asked after our previous contest.

What type of contest would you like to see us hosting? Art related contest, background story writing, quest design, or something completely different?

What kind of rewards would you like to see?

What would make you take part in one of our contests?

Any additional suggestions to make the contests as interesting and satisfying as they possibly can be?

Please leave a comment on this page or our forums, we look forward to reading each of them!
